Gas metal arc welding: Gas metal arc welding is a semi-automatic welding process which uses a gas covering and a reel of wire utilising DC current.

 



General assembly drawing: General assembly drawings include information about overall dimensions and the general arrangement of components. A general assembly drawing is also called an assembly drawing.

 



General notes: There are two types of notes on engineering drawings - general and local. General notes refer to the whole drawing.

 



Generator lines: Generator lines are the forming lines on a conical shape.

 



Geometric development: Geometric development refers to the discipline of developing patterns in the metal fabrication industry.

 



Gradians: Gradians are units of angular measure. In a circle there are 400 gradians, therefore, a right angle is 100 gradians. A gradian is also called a grade or a gon.

 



Green: 'Green' is the term given to the extra material that is added to the mean circumference of a curved shape that is to be formed on a standard pyramid roll machine. The flat 'green' section is removed after rolling so that the curve goes right to the edge of the shape.

 



Guillotine: A guillotine is a device with a sharp (or heavy) blade used to cut paper, plastic, or soft metals.
